Meet the DJs bringing the music to Market Days Weekend

A musical party with sounds from around the world hits Chicago this upcoming weekend as the Northalsted Market Days becomes a 2-day nonstop dance party on the streets of Lakeview comonly called Boystown.
Multiple stages will serve as the musical launching pads for some of the most renowned, distinctive circuit DJs in the world.
The ViiV Healthcare Hydrate Stage at Cornelia Avenue, which has become well-known for its energetic circuit party vibe, and the all-new Cuervo Tradicional Dance Party at Aldine will be nonstop dance marathons.
Throw in a series weekend parties to further spice up the weekend, August 11-13. There will be no shortage of scatily-clad party-goers for events from CircuitMOM Productions, Furball at Metro, BRÜT Party at Fantasy, and Hydrate Nightclubs’s weekend of some of the most in-demand figures in dance music.
"Summer in Chicago is probably one of the best places in the country," said Dan Darlington, owner of BRÜT.

DJ Dan Slater makes his third appearance at the annual Northalsted Market Days, spinning at Hydrate Nightclub on Saturday night, August 12.
“(Just) thinking about this makes me smile and excited. I love the Hydrate family and the energy in Chicago, especially during Market Days,” Slater told GoPride.com.
The sounds of São Paulo will echo through the streets of Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood on Friday night, August 11, when Brazil-based DJ Allison Ricardo Nunes makes his debut at Hydrate Nightclub.
“Chicago is one of the places I’ve always dreamed of visiting, mainly because of all the history that Chicago represents for house music. I’m very happy with the opportunity,” to spin at Hydrate, Nunes told GoPride.com.
DJ Tony Moran is back in Chicago for Northalsted Market Days, spinning on Saturday night, August 12, at Spectacular Spectacular: A Moulin Rouge Ball presented by CircuitMOM and CircuitSON Productions at the Aragon Ballroom. The 7-hour energy-filled party starts at 9 p.m.
“Market Days events are the crown jewels of circuit parties in the U.S.,” Moran told GoPride.com.
Cindel returns to Chicago on Sunday night, August 13 for Wreck’d, a party from CircuitMOM Productions at the Aragon Ballroom, starting at 9 p.m.
“I have been lucky to be part of Market Days since 2014 and every year I look forward to making new memories and seeing so many friends from all over the world,” Cindel told GoPride.com.
Jace M takes the ViiV Healthcare Hydrate Stage at Cornelia Avenue on Saturday, August 12 at 3:30 p.m.
“Market Days is an event that I literally block out on my calendar and have attended religiously for years,” Jace M said. “Everyone does such a nice job on their events and I know how much hard work goes into producing parties, so seeing my friends and colleagues success is so cool to me. Everyone involved in Market Days, from the festival to the clubs to CircuitMOM, always has their shit together and on point. It’s nice to see them thrive.”
Joe Pacheco hits the ViiV Healthcare’s Hydrate Stage at Halsted and Cornelia on Saturday, August 12, starting at 5:30 p.m.
“Performing on the Hydrate stage is a very special experience," said Pacheco. "The crowd that attends Market Days really pays attention to the music you play, and it’s a trait that I love to see in my audiences because I put a great deal of thought and time into structuring my sets. There’s something so validating about playing music that truly connects with your audience.”
Danny Verde is bringing the sounds of South Florida to Chicago for Northalsted Market Days, spinning on the ViiV Healthcare’s Hydrate Stage on Saturday, August 12.
“Last year, I had one of the greatest experiences playing for seven hours at Market Days and everything was so smooth, and the crowd was so supportive and energetic. I wasn’t even tired at the end of such a long set," Verde told GoPride.com.
Chicagoans will hear Sam Gee at Northalsted Market Days. He is spinning Sunday, August 13, on the ViiV Healthcare’s Hydrate Stage, starting at 3:30 p.m.
“The diversity and energy of Chicago parties really stands out to me. Every time I’ve been (to the city), it feels like everybody is positive, open and ready to have a good time,” Gee told GoPride.com. “I am very excited to be playing at Market Days; I know how much fun it is. I can’t wait to serve that crowd all the #EnerGEE I can.
With 16 years of experience, DJ Jesus Montanez is finally spinning a checkmark off his DJ Bucket List: he is playing on stage Sunday, August 13, at Northalsted Market Days. His set starts at 5:30 p.m., on the ViiV HealthCare Hydrate Stage at Halsted & Cornelia Streets.
“Since I was a very young DJ, I have always dreamed to play on that stage and finally it is happening … I am very excited,” Montanez told GoPride.com. "If you are talented and people appreciate the talent, you get to play at Market Days.”
Market Days organizers announced the addition of the Cuervo Tradicional Dance Party at Aldine, where seven popular Northalsted destinations will be showcasing their DJ party events along with drag performers and hosts.
DJs Barker, Virago (Splash Chicago), Chomper (Hydrate Nightclub), Ryan Willing (Cell Block), Bryan (Sidetrack), Miss Toto, Boy Alberto (Replay Lakeview), Matt Suave (D.S. Tequila Co.), Darryl Garcon & O’Laysia (Progress), and Ed Wood are among the acts scheduled.
