CircuitMOM Productions is celebrating its 25th anniversary

The team at CircuitMOM Productions is going all-in for, well, everything this year as the Chicago-based party/event planner is celebrating its 25th anniversary. So obviously CircuitMOM is pulling out all the stops for this weekend’s Northalsted Market Days. Just consider:

- The Friday night “HouseGasm,” for instance, will encompass all four floors at the House of Blues. There will be five DJs with very distinct sounds, four of them making their CircuitMOM debuts – Saint Devera, TDon, Landis and international superstar DJ Cedric Gervais. Chicago’s own DJ Dom Brown rounds out the Friday night festivities with his amazing style and vibe.

- On Saturday, the Aragon Ballroom is being transformed into the Moulin Rouge for Spectacular! Spectacular!” and the official 25-year celebration. Chicago’s DJ Janky will kick off the night, followed by two amazing, Grammy-nominated DJs, Abel Aguilera and Tony Moran. Ironically, Aguilera and Moran are both longtime CircuitMOM regulars, yet have never spun together for CircuitMOM. And don’t be surprised to see a CircuitMOM trapeze moment and a live violinist.

- The Sunday shenanigans will be deep under the sea with “Wreck’d,” as CircuitMOM transforms the Aragon into a sunken treasure of decor, sea creatures and maybe a pearl necklace or two. Edwin Martinez (CircuitSON) has created a visual experience like nothing before. Resident DJ Brady Prince kicks off the event with a tidal wave of house music beats, followed by DJ Cindel. Closing out the night, the incomparable DJ Isis Muretech brings her glorious sounds to the end of the weekend. Add in RuPaul Drag Race alum Utica along with the phenomenal Sheeza Woman and the buoys and gulls will be living.

What makes Market Days so special?

“When people come to Market Days, the whole experience can be very liberating,” said Matthew Harvat, the real-life CircuitMOM. “Feeling at home, being surrounded by our community and its allies for a day or two can change a person’s way of thinking and maybe even broaden their acceptance of others in our community. It is such a happy weekend and Boystown shines like a diamond.

“For our CircuitMOM events specifically, we want people to know that everyone and anyone is welcome to come dance with us, no matter how you identify. We give you a safe space to come be yourself and find your tribe. Our CircuitMOM events are about inclusion, promoting positive energy and wanting people to feel like they belong whether they are gay, straight, bi, trans, non-binary or any other self-affirming identity a person needs to feel whole.

“Plus, confetti ... always add lots of confetti.”
