Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival is back for its 41st year.
This year’s festival kicked off Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Music Box Theatre and will run through Oct. 8, offering more than 40 features and documentaries, and 12 short-film programs, with screenings at Landmark Century Centre Cinema, 2828 N. Clark St., and the Chicago Filmmakers Firehouse Cinema, 1326 W. Hollywood Ave.
A number of films will make their world premiere at Reeling, including “The Judgment,” (pictured) Marwan Mokbel Elessawi’s story about an Egyptian American gay man and his family who are threatened with witchcraft after visiting Egypt.
