Todrick Hall, MAX, and Betty Who among entertainers for Market Days, Aug. 11-12 (Full schedule below)
Chicago, IL -
Nearly 200,000 people from across the country will converge on North Halsted St. throughout the weekend for the 2018 Northalsted Market Days, the largest two-day outdoor street festival in the Midwest, which opens Saturday morning at 11 a.m. and runs through Sunday at 10 p.m.
Delicious festival food, endless shopping and plenty of people-watching marks the onset of the annual event. The music, however, is what has thousands returning to Boystown this weekend. Throughout the two days there will be over 40 diverse performances on four entertainment stages, plus a DJ stage at Halsted and Cornelia.
"We can't wait to welcome our neighbors and visitors alike to celebrate summer in Boystown," said Northalsted Business Alliance Executive Director Chad Honeycutt.
With appearances by Betty Who, Todrick Hall, Crystal Waters, Martha Wash, Ty Herndon, MAX and others, Market Days is set to deliver on its reputation as a must-do fest in the Midwest.
Also in the mix are newcomers and Chicago mainstays – like 16 Candles, Catfight and Boy Band Review.
The 2018 Northalsted Market Days festival, presented by the Northalsted Business Alliance, takes place on Saturday, Aug. 11 and Sunday, Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event runs down Halsted Street from Belmont to Addison. A $10 suggested donation is requested at the entrance.
