Jane Seymour

Jane Seymour went from Bond girl to Medicine Woman. Now with a book signing and a gallery tour she returns to Chicago.

JN: (Jerry Nunn) Hello, Jane. Good to talk to you again. You have been busy!

JS: (Jane Seymour) You, too. It is going to get a little crazier from now on until the first of the year.

JN: You have your book so I can imagine.

JS: My book "Among Angels" came out a few weeks ago and by the third week it went into it's third reprinting. I am doing a lot more book touring than I was originally going to do. It has been cool because I go to different places and speak about the philosophy of the open heart and the whole angel theory that I have. I have met some fascinating people and heard some incredible stories.

JN: You are coming to the Barnes and Noble in OakBrook.

JS: Yes, generally what I do in case people are wondering is, I just don't sign, I come and talk about the subject then I do a question and answer, afterwards I sign books.

JN: Very nice.

JS: Really what I am coming to Illinois is for my one-woman art show at the Wentworth. That's a really big deal where people will have time to spend with me and see the real art, about 70 to 80 pieces including sculptures.

JN: Excellent, has your currently finished filming all of your movies yet?

JS: Yes, I did three movies this year. "At Home With Prudence" they just announced for January 8th on the Hallmark Channel. I star in it with Joe Lando from Dr. Quinn. My real life daughter Katie Flynn plays my daughter in the movie. This will be the first time that people can see the two of us together. Well, not quite if someone had gone the web they could have seen us together on something she wrote called "Quitters."

JN: Oh yeah, we talked about that last time.

JS: My husband James Keach has a cameo role in this movie too.

JN: Family affair!

JS: The movie that we are really excited about is coming out the end of January is called "Waiting for Forever." I was one of the producers and James directed it. It stars Rachel Bilson, Blythe Danner and Richard Jenkins. It's hard to describe the movie. It's unique.

JN: You also did a movie with Mandy Moore called "Love, Wedding, Marriage."

JS: Yes, Mandy Moore's movie, I am trying to find out when it's coming out. I imagine around that same time. Around Valentines since it is a romantic comedy and fits that bill. I played Mandy and Jessica Szohr's crazy mother who causes major upheaval in their lives.

JN: I loved Mandy's last album!

JS: She's really good and her husband is not too bad either is he?

JN: Nope, Ryan Adams has some talents for sure.

JS: I just finished filming an independent movie called "The Lake Effect." I have been having fun. I usually get two daughters per movie and they usually end up having great careers. Rachel McAdams and Isla Fisher are doing pretty well from The Wedding Crashers. So watch out for the next batch!

JN: You are always doing something.

JS: I guess this is my idea of retirement. I will be painting all day today. I have commissions that need to be done so I will be covered in oil paint all day. That's today's mission. The American Red Cross picked my painting as their official greeting card for the holidays.

JN: What do you do for the holidays?

JS: My family all flies in from England and we will have a houseful. We will have all six kids plus nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

JN: Do you cook?

JS: Yes, we cook but my sister and brother in law are phenomenal chefs. We have our own organic garden so we have amazing produce from the garden. It's a bountiful feast.
