Betty Who, Kristine W., and MAX slated to perform Sunday at Market Days
Chicago, IL -
Northalsted Market Days, the Midwest's largest outdoor street fest, kicked off Saturday in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood. The two-day festival continues Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The festival opened Saturday to picture perfect weather, which is expected to continue again Sunday. The National Weather Service is calling for sunny to partly sunny skies and comfortable high temperatures in the mid 70s and lower 80s.
Organizers expect nearly 200,000 people from around the world will visit the festival before it closes Sunday night.
Multi-faceted entertainer Todrick Hall delivered a powerful performance, part of his Forbidden tour, to a full crowd on Saturday afternoon.
Betty Who, Kristine W. and MAX are scheduled to perform on Sunday. Also in the mix are Chicago mainstays – like 16 Candles and Rod Tuffcurls – all split between five entertainment stages.
The 37th annual Northalsted Market Days festival, presented by the Northalsted Business Alliance, takes place on Saturday, Aug. 11 and Sunday, Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event runs down Halsted Street from Belmont to Addison. A $10 suggested donation is requested at the entrance.
