It's that time of the year again to roll out that red carpet! Ladies, knock some curls into that hair or weave. Gurlz (my fellow gay men), make sure them eyebrows are snatched for the Gods. Gents (straight men) polish those shoes for the 87th Annual Oscars are this Sunday, February 22, and of course yours truly has a party on deck for you sit up in and look cayute!

The Heartland Health Outreach Junior Networking Committee will be hosting its 5 th Annual Oscars Viewing Party in support of the Vital Bridges program at John Barleycorn River North (149 Kinzie) at 6:30pm. Now, I've never been to this Oscar party, but I've heard from trusted sources...ahem...friends who go out a lot that this is a definite staple for Oscar partying. So, in preparation I'm gonna get these edges together, have Eric my barber touch up my mohawk, and break out a crisp shirt and shiny blazer for the occasion!

To the backdrop of the Oscars broadcast guests will indulge in specialty appetizers, a Popcorn Bar from Garrett Popcorn Shops, and most importantly custom Svedka cocktails inspired by the Oscars. Yassssssssssssssssssssss!!!!! I live for that Garrett Popcorn Bar, so I'll be sure to have my tupperware and/or brown paper bag ready – I kid...fingers crossed, hehe. Raffle prize winners will walk away with luxe gifts including consultations from Atelier Bea Interiors & Design, Rent the Runway, Le Colonial, and some other spensive stuff.

Shout out to my friend Brooke Henton, founder of Atelier Bea Interiors & Design! To the lucky prizewinner who gets a consultation from her, you'll be in great hands! She'll have your pad looking like Restoration Hardware on a Marshall's budget, or if you like paying over 2K for a night lamp she can do that too! Any who, get them coinz together and buy your ticket today! See ya in your best lace front!

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased by visiting . At the door, tickets may be available for $60. Proceeds of the Oscars Viewing Party will benefit Vital Bridges' food, nutrition counseling, housing and case management services for low-income Chicagoans impacted by HIV/AIDS.
