The Queens, a feature-length film about Miss Continental pageant, will make its Chicago debut at a premiere party and screening on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at the Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club, 3700 N. Halsted.

After nearly seven years, this compelling documentary by former FOX Chicago special projects reporter Mark Saxenmeyer and his non-profit production company, The Reporters Inc. is ready to entertain and enlighten.

Attendees will be entertained with performances from singers and entertainers who either appear in the film or whose original music make up the soundtrack. Following the screening, Saxenmeyer and some of the performers will field questions from the audience.

Proceeds from the event will help The Reporters Inc. pay for post-production costs, including sound mixing, film festival entry fees and insurance, in order to launch the The Queens into widespread distribution.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Jan 25.
