DINING OUT

Follow the Parade; Eating, that is!

The last Sunday in June, for me, has always been one big party. An endless stream of loved ones and friends, descending upon our abode. I believe they arrived because of our proximity to the festivities, free drinks and most importantly, a bathroom. For whatever reason, it's always been a great time.

This year; however, we are going to be a part of the parade. That's right. We are riding in style with the Chicagopride.com crew on a float. So this year, no party at my place. No free drinks and best of all no friends of friends of friends unloading in my house. Yes, they can not use my restroom this year.

In lieu of our absence from our abode, I'd like to offer a few suggestions to my friends friends and to you reading. You must be a paying customer to use the "accommodations" at the establishments listed but you have a prime seat for parade watching and a team of waiters to see to your every need. Whatever you decide to do this year for Pride. Be it, watching from the coveted roof tops along Halsted, or camping out with friends along the route. Be safe, proud and have a wonderful time.

My top ten list of restaurants to "nosh" at along the parade route.
