Navy Pier is preparing to launch a new attraction in the spring of 2024. Flyover is a multi-million dollar immersive experience that will take ticket holders on a thrilling ride over the city of Chicago virtually.
Guests will enter upstairs from Navy Pier's ground floor and across from the Chicago Children's Museum at the west entrance by 600 East Grand Avenue. For those familiar with The Crystal Gardens, it is directly across from it after ascending the escalator. Elevators will assist those with wheelchair requirements.

They will walk into a holding area before they take their seats on the ride. After being strapped into the device the multi-sensory contraption will then move closer to the 65-foot spherical screen to surround the riders. In addition to the visuals, special effects have been incorporated into this indoor show including gusty winds, light mist and enhancing smells.
The running time will be around a 10-minute journey through six degrees of motion before they exit.

The creators gave the press a sneak peek at the grounds surrounding the attraction that are currently under construction. This bare-bones tour showed that after the winter thaw, an opening date will be well within reach for the spring.
This fourth Flyover experience follows the Las Vegas Flyover location that opened in 2021 and will take over the former IMAX space at Navy Pier. The attraction will also begin hiring for 60 new roles at this location near Lake Michigan.
Flyover will soon be open to all and will surely attract tourists looking for a bird's eye experience to pair with the nearby Centennial Wheel.
Presale tickets are already available and can be found at flyoverchicagonavypier.com.
