Welcome back, Lang and congrats on your new book Look Out for the Little Guy! The latest Ant-Man adventure leads the Pym family and the Lang gang into the Quantum Realm. It's a return trip for Janet Pym, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, after spending 30 years there. She's got a secret that comes back to haunt her and there are some strong although rushed performances across the board.

The Wasp's role has shrink with too many characters in the mix and even the jokes for Paul Rudd are minuscule compared to last year's Thor: Love and Thunder.

Cassandra “Cassie” Lang was a favorite to those who read The Young Avengers and Kathryn Newton is growing up quickly to fill her dad's shoes as Stature.

StageCraft virtual technology was used with a few leftover Lucasfilms costumes as part of the bargain including a broccoli character that doesn't even attempt to look like something other than a vegetable.

Jonathan Majors is becoming a major player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe portraying Kang and will reprise the role in Avengers: The King Dynasty in 2025 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2026. His future is so bright he should wear shades and Ant-Man tries for the big leagues in battling such a powerful adversary in the David versus Goliath tale.

The third time may not be a charm for Ant-Man, but it is not bad by any means. It seems to be a bridge to future films that sometimes doesn't stand up enough on its own. Rudd is stuck in a rut and lost in a time continuum in ways that have yet to be explained.

With 30 movies and 20 TV shows for MCU homework beforehand, new viewers will be lost in the Quantum Realm, but for longtime loyal readers, there is much love to be had with this franchise around Valentine's Day.

There are worse things your partner can drag you to this weekend than Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It's the first of phase five with a two-hour ride and a big heart opening in theaters on February 17, 2023.
