Wonderful Town Makes a Great Getaway

Macy's on State Street continues to host wonderful events most recently before a showing of Wonderful Town at the Goodman Theatre.

Giuliana Rancic from the television program Fashion Police popped in for a Front Row fashion event at Macy's on the 3rd floor complete with runway models. Snacks and refreshments were available along with nail stations and a promotions were in various areas of the store.

The following week The Walnut Room at Macy's on State provided a sit down dinner for the Goodman Theatre elite.

Artistic director Robert Falls and director of the current production of Wonderful Town Mary Zimmerman spoke to attendees in the gorgeous space.

Ticket holders then walked to the Goodman for an opening night performing of the Leonard Bernstein revival of the musical. Wonderful Town tells the story of two sisters trying to make it in the big city. The cartoon set and light music hit all the right notes.

An after party at Petterino's had lucky subscribers eating and drinking on two floors with many of the cast members.

The run of the show is already extended through Oct. 23. Sounds like the troupe has another hit on its hands.
