Avengers X-Men: Axis
The crossover event that brings the two super teams against a suped up Red Skull (with the brain of Charles Xavier) launches in October, written by Remender with art by Adam Kubert and Jim Cheung on covers. The teams will feature members that make up the new status quo upon the conclusion of the current event Original Sin , including Sam Wilson's Captain America and the new female Thor. Featured prominently in the first issue is The Vision. "The goal was getting Vision back to the badass he was," remarked Remender, promising more in the Avengers: Rage of Ultron OGN and the rest of Axis.
The second issue of Axis featured estranged brothers Scott Summers (Cyclops and leader of the Uncanny X-Men) and Alex Summers (Havoc and leader of the Uncanny Avengers) fighting side by side. "This will be a brotherhood and bond reforming," promised Remender.
Tie-ins for the series will include issues of Uncanny Avengers, Deadpool, and Magneto as well as mini-series Axis: Carnage, Axis: Hobgoblin, and Axis: Revolutions.
