Pull-List for 04/17/13

Humblest apologies for missing last week's pull-list. My theatre guy alter-ego and planning Geeks OUT epic C2E2 party took over my week. There were a number of great books that came out last week but two were especially significant. The first was Saga issue 12, which caused a stir when Apple and/or Comixology pulled the digital sell of it because of depictions of gay sex. The second was Batgirl 19, which introduced Alysia Yeoh, mainstream comics' first ongoing transgender character! There's a lot of stir (both good and bad) for both these books, but I suggest rather than following the hype, pick 'em up and read 'em!

Next week is C2E2. If you've ever thought about hitting up a convention but were too afraid to, this is the one for you! It was my first con ever and taking in just one day of it during its inaugural year showed me that cons could be fun and not overwhelming. So definitely check it out! And, of course, you should hit up Mutant High Prom on Saturday, April 27 at Spin Nightclub at 9 PM. It's Geeks OUT first convention party outside of the NYC-metro area and C2E2's most epic queer party ever! HOLLA!
