North Halsted's 7th Annual Halloween Parade Set For Friday, Oct. 31

Chicago, IL - North Halsted, one of Chicago's most eclectic streets, will hold its 7th annual Halloween Parade on Friday evening, October 31. The parade, in the Lake View neighborhood and presented by Triangle Neighbors, is one of the city's most outrageous Halloween celebrations. Organizers have designated clowns as this year's overall theme.

The parade steps off from Belmont and Halsted at 8:00 p.m., an hour later than previous years. Registration for a post-parade costume contest begins at 7:00 p.m. at the same location.

More than 10,000 people are expected to either participate in or view the parade which has quickly grown to become one of the Chicago area's must-attend Halloween events. The parade draws a broad mix of area residents including children and families.

Following the parade, costume contest winners will be announced at the intersection of Roscoe and Halsted for children, pets and adults who registered in advance of the parade. Cash and prizes in several categories will be awarded with the grand prize being a roundtrip airline tickets for two. There will also be post-parade musical entertainment.
