BOYSTOWN series author Jake Biondi held a national photo competition in search of some new "faces" for promoting BOYSTOWN. From all of the photo entries received, Biondiselected Christian Tyler of New Orleans, Louisiana, as one of the prize winners. Tyler's photos will be used in upcoming promotions for BOYSTOWN.

"I am very humbled by Jake Biondi casting me in the role of Jesse. The vision for this series is both intriguing and engaging. The diversity therein and the exciting adventures you will undoubtedly encounter will leave you demanding the next book," Tyler said. "This is a contemporary illustration of issues that are relevant to both the characters of BOYSTOWN and society at large."

Biondi said of Tyler, "It's funny because Christian used to be my neighbor here in Boystown before he moved to New Orleans, so it's so cool that our paths crossed again and we are now working on BOYSTOWN together."  Biondi continued, "Christian has the 'look' that I intended for BOYSTOWN – and his smile and facial expressions reveal the depth of many of the characters' personalities."

Christian added, "Jake and I have become friends and it's great to be working with him. He welcomes everyone's input and works to make sure that every BOYSTOWN team member feels valued and validated. I'm excited to see what the future holds for the BOYSTOWN project."
