Chicago, IL - Out Chicago, a new LGBT-themed radio program, debuts Sunday, Jan. 5 on Chicago's progressive talk radio station.

"I'm so excited to be a part of Chicago's only live talk show for the LGBT community," host Scott Duff told ChicagoPride.com on Sunday morning. "And I'm even more excited that I made it to the studio during Chiberia!"

The two-hour weekly show airing at 11 a.m. Sundays on WCPT AM 820 (simulcast on WCPY FM 92.5, WCPT FM 92.7 and WCPQ FM 99.9), will be hosted by Duff, a Chicago actor who'll be joined by a weekly guest co-host.

"Out Chicago is like having Sunday brunch with a couple of your gay best friends, without the debate over who picks up the check," explained Duff.

The show will cover a wide variety of topics from politics and pop culture to health issues and nightlife, all from a queer perspective.

"And we'll throw in a little bit of celebrity gossip for good measure," joked Duff. "It's the perfect way to kick off your Sunday Funday."

Duff, a founding member of About Face Theatre, also hosts an LGBT-themed showcase at Chicago's Laugh Factory.

Blues musician Ellen Miller joins Duff for the debut broadcast, which will take a look back at the Year of the Queer that was 2013, the outing GOP Rep. Aaron Schock and the ethics of it all, plus New Year's resolutions.

Michael Damsky, a veteran Chicago radio executive, created the Out Chicago programming initiative with Windy City Media Group, the parent company of Windy City Times.

In addition the station will air one-minute segments from Out Chicago hourly from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
