President Barack Obama delivers State of the Union address; will he cover LGBT rights?

Washington, D.C. - President Barack Obama will deliver the 2013 State of the Union address tonight at 8 p.m. CST. And there may be a hint that gay rights could be included in the speech.

Hopes are high among gay rights advocates that Obama will say something about LGBT rights in his State of the Union address, according to the Huffington Post.

One indicator that lesbian and gay rights may be at the forefront of tonight's event is that Tracey Hepner, the same-sex wife of Army Brigadier General Tammy Smith and the nation's highest ranking openly gay service member, will be sitting alongside First Lady Michelle Obama during the speech.
