Chicago, IL -
Now in its fourth year, Windy City Gay Idol is ready to crown the best amateur gay/lesbian singer in Chicago. Amy Matheny returns to host the event.
As in TV's American Idol, contestants will face a panel of local celebrity judges, including cabaret performers Amy Armstrong and Freddy Allen; former ChicagoPride.com music critic and DJ Peter Mavrik; Grammy-nominated jazz singer Jeannie Tanner; event producer Julie Mosier; and Chicago's favorite drag entertainer Chicago Cher.
Ultimately, all of the contestants' hard work, along with votes from friends, family and audience members will hopefully bring them to the grand finale, which will be held on June 16 at Circuit Nightclub.
The grand prize? One thousand dollars cash, a Bud Light Trek mountian bike, and American Airlines tickets!
