Virginia Beach, VA - Televangelist Pat Robertson Monday said that homosexuality is "related to demonic possession" in response to a feature segment on the 700 Club.

The comment followed a segment on a man who tried to "change" his sexuality by marrying a woman, but later ended up having extramarital affairs with men. The couple reconciled after his "repentance and deliverance from the homosexual lifestyle" and decided to stay together.

"That type of conduct is wrong and it is time that in society we say certain things are wrong," Robertson said. "He's obsessed, he has a compulsion. I think it is somehow related to demonic possession."

Robertson is no stranger to controversial comments.

Following Tim Tebow's trade to the New York Jets, Robertson said, "Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback. But he's been injured, if that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right."

Following the 9/11 attacks, Robertson said, "the ACLU has to take a lot of blame for this." In 2010, following the earthquake in Haiti, Robertson claimed that the disaster was due to a "pact to the Devil" Haiti's founders had made.
