Chicago, IL -
Last September Rosie O'Donnell became one of the Chicago's highest profile LGBTs-in-residence when she bought a home in Lakeview.
The 49-year-old New York native made the move for her Chicago-based TV talk show filming at Harpo Studios, formerly home to Oprah Winfrey's show.
In the October 2011 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, O'Donnell called her move to Chicago "a new beginning."
Now comes a report that O'Donnell is making plans to move back to New York full time.
In an exclusive report, Chicago Sun-Times columnist Bill Zwecker said that while O'Donnell has not officially put her 6,000-square-foot multi-million dollar home on the market, she is reportedly telling a handful of people that her home is for sale at the right price.
At the time O'Donnell purchased the five bedroom Lakeview property, it was listed at $2.5 million.
Zwecker questioned what the move could mean for the future of O'Donnell's daily talk show, which airs on Oprah's OWN Network. "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" has been "ratings-challenged," according to Zwecker. Her show remains popular with LGBT audiences.
Chicago real estate agent Paul Blackburn confirmed to ChicagoPride.com that O'Donnell's Lakeview home is not currently listed.
ChicagoPride.com has made efforts to contact O'Donnell for comment.
