Filmmaker announces ambitious new project

Hollywood - In January, GoPride.com introduced readers to up-and-coming out filmmaker Elliot London and his dream of creating a short film called The Wedding Dance -- a story about marriage equality, but with a twist.

This week, as part of Valentine's Day, the 3-minute film -- funded in party by GoPride.com readers who generously donated to the project -- was released.

As The Wedding Dance made its premiere, the charismatic London announced his next big project, another film that hits close to his heart. Unlike The Wedding Dance, his film, Friend, will be a full-length feature about anti-gay bullying.

The 31-year-old London is once again turning to social networking to help fund the ambitious project with the profits going to help young people at risk.

"We are running an 80-day campaign to find the funding for this project," said London. "The goal is to raise this money in a quarter of that time so we can go into pre-production. The timeline is to be filming in summer with a late fall release, when teens go back to school. I know that we can have this film on your tablet beforeĀ 2013."

London said the budget for this film is $250,000.
