Rick Perry's anti-gay ad uses music from a gay composer

Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry might want to look a little closer at the music credits the next time his campaign puts together a presidential ad.
The Harvard Political Review said that ironically, Perry's new anti-gay ad "Strong" features music that was either clearly inspired by or written by Aaron Copland, a gay Jewish composer.
In the ad, Perry says: "I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school."
Perry is trailing badly in all national polls and has been beset by what political pundits kindly call "gaffes."
A number of spoofs of Perry's "Strong" video are also available on YouTube.
The video has again flamed speculation over Perry's own sexuality. In August a political ad paid for by a Ron Paul supporter offered cash to anyone (male or female) who had sex with Perry.
