Somers Point, N. J. - Alix Genter took her mom, dad, an aunt, a cousin and two friends to "Here Comes the Bride" in Somers Point, N.J. to buy the wedding dress of her dreams, so she could marry the (lesbian) partner of her dreams.

But the day after choosing that dress, the owner of the shop, Donna Saber, called Genter back to say that she couldn't participate in anything "illegal" and that Genter was a "sick," "wrong" person for wanting to marry her same-sex partner.

"We are very fortunate in that our families love and support us." Genter told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The couple is planning a big wedding, with 200 guests, as they formalize their relationship with a (legal) New York marriage certificate.

But Genter won't be wearing a dress from "Here Comes the Bride."

"[The owner] also said that I came from a nice Jewish family, and that it was a shame I was gay," Genter said.

According to Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Ronnie Polaneczky, who talked with the owner of "Here Comes the Bride," the owner also seems to think that Genter's dad has an issue with his daughter.

"The fact that even my dad would come to a bridal shop - that should tell you something about how close we all are," Genter said.

Now, people from all over the world are driving down "Here Comes the Bride's" ratings on Yelp, with 850 reviews and counting, the vast majority of them one-star.
