Wedding bells ring more for lesbians than gay men

An analysis of the first few years of legalized gay marriage in a handful of states shows that lesbians married couples outnumber gay male couples by a ratio of 3 to 2.
The New York Post reported that in Massachusetts, where gay marriage have been legal since 2004, 4,911 gay male couples have tied the knot, whereas 8,404 lesbian couples have.
In Connecticut, 3,252 lesbian couples and 2,053 gay male couples have married since 2008.
In Vermont, 1,157 lesbian couples have married, versus 597 gay male couples.
And in Iowa, 1,376 female couples have married, as opposed to 772 gay male couples.
Experts told the Post the reason for the lopsided numbers are as old as time: whether you attribute it to genetics or upbringing, women are more interested in settling down with one person than men are.
