Rocker Adam Lambert on Saturday reached his goal of a million followers on Twitter.
On Monday, the Aftermath singer tweeted, "Almost one MILLION followers? Woah that's a trip! I'm flattered! Glamberts!!!"
"1 million!!? Woah this is a trip," he messaged on Saturday after hitting the magical number.
As of noon, the 29-year-old American Idol season 8 runner up had accumulated 1,001,576 followers on the popular social network.
On Friday, he used Twitter to respond to critics of his decision to grow a goatee. He debuted his new facial hair at the Wednesday night premiere of the new Broadway musical Sister Act.
"Goatee," he tweeted. "Don't like it? Suck it! :)"
Earlier, he commented, "funny – Some folks ask 'I thought you were gay – u trying to be straight' others say 'oooh that's fuckin hot' that's right!!"
The singer earlier used his increasing popularity on Twitter to blast critics of a J. Crew layout that featured a young boy with painted toenails. Social conservatives condemned the layout, claiming it "celebrated transgender children" and targeted mothers of "gender-confused young boys." Lambert disagreed, messaging that "It's everyone else who's confused."
