Chicago, IL - Two Chicago police officers are under criminal investigation for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman on the Far North Side while on duty early Wednesday. Both officers are from the Town Hall District, which encompasses the Lakeview neighborhood.

According to ChicagoBreakingNews.com two uniformed officers are accused of picking up a 22-year-old woman while driving a marked police SUV near Wrigley Field, playing strip poker with her and then sexually assaulting her in her Rogers Park apartment.

Both officers are 38 years old and are 10-year veterans of the Chicago Police Department. They've worked for at least the last three years in the Town Hall District.

"If proven true, these officers will fully be held accountable and punished," said Terry Hillard, the interim police superintendent. "I will not tolerate this type of behavior. The Chicago Police Department will not tolerate this type of behavior."

Hillard was appointed to the interim post by Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel, who is searching for a permanent police superintendent.
