Apple product thefts are up at CTA elevated stations

Chicago, IL - Chicago police are telling commuters to avoid using their iPads and iPhones on CTA platforms after seeing an increase in theft.

According to MyFoxChicago.com, police have arrested 10 people in the past four days for stealing Apple products. All of the thefts have taken place in or around CTA elevated stations.

The iPhone has been a popular target for theft. Over the summer, Chicago police investigated a string of robberies involving iPhones on or near the Magnificent Mile.

Police advise iPhone users to be alert and aware of who is around them.
