Washington, D.C. -
Vice President Joe Biden said that it's inevitable that the nation will reach a consensus on gay marriage.
Biden spoke to George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America.
Biden used the same word President Barack Obama uses -- "evolving" -- when it comes to gay marriage.
There is an "inevitability for a national consensus on gay marriage," Biden said on Christmas Eve. "I think the country's evolving. And I think you're going to see, you know, the next effort is probably going to be to deal with so called DOMA.
Biden was referring to the "Defense of Marriage Act."
