DILF returned to The Sofo Tap on Saturday, November 2 – saluting the Silver Fox contingent.
As DJ Moose Moder hyped: “This time of year we’re yearning for a bit of snow on the roof. Not just at home, but on our cuddly daddies.”
DILF Silver Foxes was hosted by Nirmalpal Sachdev with music by Moose the DJ, and the popular event was sponsored by Steamworks Chicago.
“DILF has always been about celebrating all forms of aging well. Silver/gray hair has always been a proud signature of a man who wants to grow older and show off their age, not hide it under color. There’s a lovely confidence in that we’re here to show off and show up,” Moose said.
Sachdev, the manager of Steamworks, delivers the salt and pepper.
“DILF brings them in early, (it’s) pretty crowded,” Moose said. “Nirmalpal has been a great supporter of DILF, and a sponsor of every party for the last 12 years. He took over hosting duties last year, so we had to have him back. He’s full of energy and love. He’s the party.”
DILF Silver Foxes has long been a “huge hit,” Moose said. “We try to emphasize the great parts of getting greater later that other parties ignore.”
Moose the DJ, 55, who lives in the Rogers Park neighborhood, delivered a wide-ranging open set of popular throwbacks appealing to the over-40 crowd.
Moose The DJ followed DILF on November 3 with the biggest and most unique Tea at Aunt Jackies (Jackhammer) – an all Showtunes edition.
