St. Louis, Missouri - The managers of Busch Stadium in St. Louis have rejected a gay group's request that their section be featured on the Jumbotron's "Kiss Cam" during Saturday's Cardinals game.

200 gays and lesbians will attend Saturday's game as part of St. Louis Pride's "OUT at the Ballpark" events.

"We look for lively areas, full areas where people are in their seats, watching the video board, somewhat paying attention," scoreboard operations director Tony Simokaitis told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "We try to get as many people in as we can in the minute and a half between innings. There's not a lot of time to allow us to make calculated judgments in terms of demographics."

A Cardinals spokesperson told the newspaper that Pride St. Louis was just one of 40 groups officially attending the game, and they would be treated like everyone else.
