Take Proggy heavyweights Satoshi Tomiie & Lexicon Avenue put them together with sultry vocalist Kerry Green and you get a creation called Fishead. Their new track “Inescapable” on SAW records combines a snappy house-underground groove with progressive funk, all while maintaining Kerry's vocal integrity. For househeads with a darker side this track is an A+. – Chris Eterno

Bitches, throw your panties on the stage, it's Tom Jones! He strikes back with “Sex Bomb”, his latest on Universal Records. This first cut off of his "Reloaded" greatest hits compilation teams Tom with House mainstay Mousse T. Standard for Mousse, the sound is fun commercial house with Mr. Jones’ vocals sounding as sexy as ever. Definitely a fun campy ride! – CE

Watch for a powerful new track on Nitegrooves records called “Electrify” by GTS feat. Heigo-Tani. Mixes range from Robbie Rivera to Trendroid on this cute cut. Rivera delivers his standard hard-filter sound with a Part 1 and Part 2 mix, while Trandriod executes a ripping deep trippy progressive dub that will make you wet. An A+ for GTS. Street date of April 5th. – CE

Haru? Who? The Japanese word for “fusion” is both the artist and title of this song. The track lives up to its name, blending powerful vocals, electro beats and an Asian flavor into a powerful peak hour track certain to energize the dance floor. Widelife adds their distinctive style to the mix with Junior rumored to be keeping his own version close to the vest. – Greg Drescher

track of the month – Made By Monkeys – I Try (Star 69)
If this track was made by monkeys, then I want to take a step down on the evolutionary chain! This long-awaited tune from Star 69 is a gorilla track with a haunting melody and hypnotic vocals. Rauhofer provides both Tech-House and Future mixes with his traditional sound while Stephan Grondin (aka X-Union) kicks it up a notch for my personal favorite… until they released Part 2 of the vinyl with Attention Deficit’s Hear No Evil Remix, which provides a subtle, but steady build that explodes after the final drop into big room, throbbing sounds! – GD

compilation of the month – Oscar G – Live@Space (Star 69)
Listen to this double CD compilation and you’ll pack your bags and move to Miami! Oscar G (of Murk and Funky Green Dogs fame) captures the South Beach tribal sound to perfection in this live set from Space in Miami. Notable tracks from Futuristic, Richie Santana, Boriqua Bandits (LOVE the piano!), Phil Kieran and John Alvarez make this a good CD. But Oscar G raises the standard to new heights, layering acappellas – Celeda (“Be Yourself”), Depeche Mode (“Only When I Lose Myself”) Green Velvet (“La La Land”) – and dramatic samples of Angelo Kortez’ “Drums” for added spice. After listening to disc one with four tracks laid down at once, you’ll understand why Oscar G has been the resident on Saturday nights at Space for 3 years! – GD
