Hollywood - David Yost, who played the "Blue Power Ranger" on the 1990's series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," said Thursday that he quit because he was harassed for being gay.

"I was called 'f*ggot' one too many times [by the] creators, producers, writers, directors," Yost said in a video interview with the Power Rangers news website No Pink Spandex.

"I know that my co-stars were called in a couple of times to different producers' offices and questioned about my sexuality, which is kind of a humiliating experience to find that out," he said.

Yost said the harassment got so bad, he thought about killing himself.

Instead, he quit, had a nervous breakdown and left Hollywood altogether. But now he's hoping to make an acting comeback.
