Steamworks to match up to $10K of the funds raised for Sunflower of Peace

Steamworks Chicago recently started fundraising for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

“My company owners said we need to do something,” Steamworks Chicago general manager Nirmalpal Sachdev wrote on the GoFundMe page. “So Steamworks is pledging to match up to $10,000 raised to benefit the non-profit organization, Sunflower of Peace, and any donation will help make an impact.”

Sachdev set up the GoFundMe page with hopes of providing medical and humanitarian aid in the areas that are affected by the Russian military invasion.

“We may not be able to stop the war, but we can raise funds for organizations like this one that help keep the people alive to continue the fight,” Sachdev continued.

Sunflower of Peace Foundation is a Boston-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing support to the people of Ukraine.

So far, theGoFundMe fundraiser has received over $200.
