According to TMZ.com, Julianne Hough told friends attending her 22nd birthday at Morton's steak house in North Carolina earlier this week, "He was after me since I was 18 ... he totally wasn't my type ... I thought he was gay."
The 35-year-old Seacreast has dodged rumors about his sexuality for years.
The pair have reportedly been together for months.
"Things have gotten more serious over the last month," a source told People.com last month. "They're perfect for each other."
