Northalsted Market Days runs August 6 - 8
Steve Grand will be performing at Northalsted Market Days on Sunday, August 8, marking the fifth time he has been a major part of the largest street festival in the Midwest.
The Chicago-native told GoPride.com he is ready to get back on-stage after 15 months of singing silence and a COVID-19 diagnosis (despite being vaccinated) in July.
“I'm so excited to be back, to be feeling better,” he said. “I feel like this really is my comeback,” from the pandemic.
“Thinking about my past Market Days (appearances), it makes me smile. Market Days always just feels so right and performing at Market Days always just feels so right.
“As they say, I'm so excited to get back on the horse … and there's no better place for me to do that than in Chicago.”
Steve Grand will perform Sunday, August 8 on the Nissan Partners of Progress Stage (Roscoe and Halsted), starting at 4:30 p.m.
The 39th annual Northalsted Market Days, which is organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance, runs Friday, August 6 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, August 7 and Sunday August 8 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Halsted Street between Belmont and Addison.
A $15 suggested donation is recommended. Donations support local nonprofits and fund community projects like the Chicago Pride Crosswalks.
