Legendary lineup brings together the “Queen of Funk”, the “world’s greatest DJ”, and the prodigal producer

An all-star lineup has been announced for the return of Pride in the Park on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday June 27 at Butler Field in Grant Park.

Event producer Dreambrite introduced Pride in the Park Chicago, a one-day music festival, in 2019. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but returns in 2021 as a two-day event with limited capacity.

"To say we are excited is an understatement," said Dusty Carpenter, President and lead organizer of Pride in the Park Chicago. “We have legendary artists – with 12 Grammys combined – diverse Allies and Queer icons that are going to simply bring the house down.”

Headliners include the legendary “Queen of Funk” and ten-time Grammy-winning artist Chaka Khan, the self-taught prodigal producer Gryffin, and Grammy-award-winning artist Tiësto, who is dubbed “the world’s greatest DJ.”

The full lineup includes Australian-American singer and songwriter of "I Love You Always Forever” Betty Who, Grammy award-winning producer Tracy Young, who is the first woman ever to win a Grammy in the category of best-remixed recording, the iconic star from Emmy-winning television series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Alyssa Edwards, and Queer, Black Chicago-native Derrick Carter.

The Pride celebration will also feature other renowned and diverse artists such as CircuitMOM, Hector Fonseca, Tony Moran, Lady D, The Vixen Denali Foxx, Karsten Sollors, Tenderoni, Miss Toto, Mila Jam, Kinley Preston, Traci Ross, Naysha Lopez, It Jomama, Hinkypunk, Kara Mel D’Ville, Sheeza Woman, Avi Sic, Matt Suave, O’Laysia, Chamilla Foxx, Zoliy Miyake Mugler for Ballroom Pride and guest speakers.

“What better way to celebrate our Pride than with amazing music in a diverse and inclusive atmosphere,” said Carpenter.

Pride in the Park will be one of the city's first outdoor festivals since the pandemic - and one of several in-person events planned for Pride Month this June.

Chicago Pride Fest is out for June 2021 with September dates a "possibility," according to organizers.

General admission tickets start at $80 and two-day VIP tickets start at $210. For more information, go to: PrideParkChi.com.
