Special design T-shirt goes on sale Saturday, April 18 following live event on Instagram and Facebook

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Boystown's Cram Fashion has created a T-shirt design with the simple message, "Together."

"The T-shirts started when the pandemic was starting and non-essential businesses had to close," explained store manager Anthony Shevock.

Owner Marc Engel's husband, Stephane, came up with the idea to add a window decal with the word "together" separated by spaces. The purpose was to show a sign of unity as people are living separated during Illinois' stay-at-home order.

"We liked the design so much that we decided to use it for a T-shirt design," said Shevock. "The shirt is a reminder that everyone is in this together and you are not alone, we all are doing our part together during this pandemic."

The T-shirts are being printed in New Mexico at a shop owned by Engel's brother-in-law.

Cram Fashion will feature the limited edition T-shirts during a live event on Facebook and Instagram from 12 - 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.

Priced at $39, the T-shirt comes in two color options, white on black or beige on navy. The shirts will be available online for purchase - immediately after the live event on Saturday - to ship or for curbside pick-up.

The T-shirt effort will help Cram Fashion, which has been hurt by the economic turmoil generated by the coronavirus pandemic.
