A Ravenswood distillery, known for its gin and whiskey, is producing hand sanitizer to assist in maintaining supply during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Koval announced Wednesday will be manufacturing hand sanitizer for retirement homes, the medical community and others on the frontline in the fight against the virus.
"We love our community and we're happy to do whatever we can to keep everyone in good spirits," Sonat Birnecker Hart, founder and president of Koval, told BlockClubChicago.
The Koval-produced hand sanitizer won't be available to the general public.
Koval had to receive government approval.
Medical professionals and retirement homes can reach out to Koval to ask about the hand sanitizer by calling 312-878-7988 or visiting their website.
