Spring has sprung, the weather has warmed up and the trees, grass and flowers are bursting around us - I hope that you're taking the time to enjoy spring, you never know how long it will last! I'm sure many of you will be traveling to be with your families for Easter so travel safe but make sure you get out there and have some fun!

THURSDAY, APRIL 1

APRIL FOOLS DAY!

The Lesbian Community Care Project at Howard Brown Health Centerplay host to'La Casa Norte Health Fair' at Casa Corazon - 3328 W North Ave from 3-8PM. Learn about health snack options, first aid, relaxtion methods, free HIV testing services and more. Check the site for full details.

Looking for more spring than what we're having? Then head to the Garfield Park Conservatory or the Lincoln Park Conservatory for their Spring Flower Shows. Admission is free and it will most definitely get you in the mood for what's to come!

The Brew and View at the Vic will screen the 2010 Oscar Winners and Nominees Animated Short films at 8:45PM. Including: French Roast and Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty and The Lady And The Reaper and Logorama and A Matter Of Loaf And Death and The Door and Instead Of Abracadabra and Kavi and Miracle Fish and The New Tenants. It's First Friday's at the Museume of Contemporary Art. Tonight UBS 12x12: New Artists/New Work: Daniel Everett will unveil his new exhibit that is on display through May 2. The artist will discuss his exhibitioin on April 13th at 6PM. Tix to First Fridays is $16 and can be purchased online - hurry before they sell out!

The Flesh Hungry Dog Show presents their Five Year Anniversary Show 'The Return of Glamour' with The Joans, Bobby Conn + Burglars and Brilliant Pebbles (pictured) at Jackhammer starting at 9PM. Tix are $15 at the door, $12 online.

SATURDAY, APRIL 3

The Chicago Force, Chicago's ONLY women's tackle football team starts off their new season at a new field today at 3PM as they take on the Wisconsin Warriors. Stop by Winnemac Stadium/Jordnt Field at 5105 N Leavitt and cheer the women on! Tix are $10 at the gate.

Head to the Prop Theater - 3502 N Elston - for Beast Women Female Cabaret spring season, 'time to stop and smell the bl*epin' roses' The fun starts at 10:30, tix are $15 at the door and it's BYOB.

Equality Illinois host an afternoon of 'friendship and laughs in support of the Equality Illinois Education Project' at Mary's Attic from 4-7PM featuring lesbian comedienne Shannon Ennis. Tix are $50 and include 2 drink tickets.

SUNDAY, APRIL 4

Just in time for Easter....it's Diva Brunch. Scooty & JoJo are back to entertain, fill you full of mimosas, bellinis and delicious food at The Spot during two seatings at 11AM and 1PM. Tix are $35 and reservations are requested.

Since it's Easter, don't you think you should go to church? Head to the Lakeshore Theater for what is truly 'The Best Church of God' I can guarantee you've never been to a Church like this, nor lauged as hard! Church begins at 1PM and admission is free of course - but don't be surprised when they pass the plate.

Get to Uptown for the Green Mill Poetry Slam with an Open Mic at 7PM followed by featured guests at 8PM and the Slam Competition taking place at 9PM. Tix are $6 at the door.
