With the pinnacle of Hollywood's awards season, The Oscars, fast approaching, Omeed Memar, M.D., Ph.D., gives his take on what the stars are likely doing to get red carpet ready. Botox, chemical peels and fillers to plump the lips and cheeks are the most ordered pre-Oscar treatments on the menu. But a little last-minute lipo never hurts, either.
In the weeks before the Academy Awards, tbe stars aren't looking for major surgery, just a little liposuction, a quick fat augmentation, some laser treatments. "It's nothing for a starlet to have a little bit tucked away here, or the cheeks lifted a touch," said Dr. Memar. "This year, though, it seems to be less about the boobs and more about the butt."
"While you'll see plenty of stunning gowns, sculpted bodies, flawless skin and camera-ready coifs on red carpets around town," Dr. Memar says, "what you won't see is all the work that has gone on in the days, weeks and months before to achieve those flawless facades."
