The new film Death of a Unicorn has humor, horror and horns, plus a lot more this March for cinephiles. The story follows a father named Elliot Kinter and his daughter Ridley on a road trip to a remote retreat for his job. They accidentally hit a unicorn with their car on the way, then retrieved it to have it discovered in the trunk later. The mysterious properties of the animal's horn bring out the worst side of the owners of the pharmaceutical company Elliot works for, and the parents of the unicorn grow hungry for revenge. Family units clash and bring about bloody results to only end as the credits roll.

Entertainment company A24 is looking for another quirky cinematic vehicle after the surprise success of Everything Everywhere All at Once and Sunita Mani plays supporting roles in both of the projects. Death of a Unicorn is unpredictable, with some eye-popping visuals that will keep viewers engaged, much like the Daniels' project. It mixes genres with a talented cast who seem to be enjoying themselves in the process. There's plenty for the performers to sink their teeth into during this woodsy adventure.

Audiences will be treated to see some of their favorite actors strutting their stuff in a wacky situation. Rudd can make a breakfast buffet funny and Ortega grounds the piece with youthful, serious energy for the pair to play off of. Richard E. Grant chews up the role of CEO Odell Leopold and Tea Leoni adds layers to his wife Belinda that will leave her fans wanting more. William Poulter takes a page out of his previous time in Narnia, playing the spoiled rich kid Shepard in a fantasy situation and Anthony Carrigan, as Griff, channels Rocky Horror Picture Show in all the right ways.

This ensemble cast saves Death of a Unicorn from becoming a mythical mess. The tale is told tongue in cheek and the jokes are delivered with a dry wit. Director and writer Alex Scharfman uses his muse of Ridley to hammer home the point that Unicorns were not all rainbows and sunshine throughout history.

While these unicorns may induce nightmares for some, the cast will keep moviegoers cackling and howling for more!

Feeling horny? Death of a Unicorn gallops into theaters nationwide on Friday, March 28.
