The new film Death of a Unicorn has humor, horror and horns, plus a lot more this March for cinephiles. The story follows a father named Elliot Kinter and his daughter Ridley on a road trip to a remote retreat for his job. They accidentally hit a unicorn with their car on the way, then retrieved it to have it discovered in the trunk later. The mysterious properties of the animal's horn bring out the worst side of the owners of the pharmaceutical company Elliot works for, and the parents of the unicorn grow hungry for revenge. Family units clash and bring about bloody results to only end as the credits roll.
Entertainment company A24 is looking for another quirky cinematic vehicle after the surprise success of Everything Everywhere All at Once and Sunita Mani plays supporting roles in both of the projects. Death of a Unicorn is unpredictable, with some eye-popping visuals that will keep viewers engaged, much like the Daniels' project. It mixes genres with a talented cast who seem to be enjoying themselves in the process. There's plenty for the performers to sink their teeth into during this woodsy adventure.
