Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar presents a smaller piece of work that will resonate in big ways with the LGBTQ+ community. Strange Way of Life stars experienced actors Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal as two gunslingers with some intense history together.

Sheriff Jake is on the verge of a nervous breakdown thanks to a partner from the past named Silva showing up again in his life. There is some unfinished business and new business to attend to between the two in Bitter Creek.

For 31 minutes viewers are treated to a dynamic duo that's actually a trio that includes Almodovar. It's a well-written and beautifully shot film complete with a side of hot Chilean cowboy buns. The young Jake and Silva are a feast for the eyes as well and worth the trip to see them on the big screen.

BTeam Pictures released Strange Way of Life in Spain this past May, priming it for awards season when it eventually happens in 2024. There's a lot of potential simply because the talented parties involved and the main actors have both had a stellar 2023.

Hawke swooped down on the television series Reservation Dogs for a powerful guest role as Rick Miller and Pascal continued to astound viewers by debuting Joel Miller's journey in The Last of Us.

Many of the screenings across the globe pair Strange Way with Almodovar's previous 2020 short The Human Voice. Extrana Forma de Vida is the better of the two. It could be developed into a feature-length running time because the story is so intriguing.

This reunion story is now out of the closet nationwide so bring your posse to the theater and see it before Strange Way of Life rides out of town!
