The day before Cinco de Mayo, Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind presented a festive pop up event in the West Loop that was a major hit with local Chicagoans. The Locura Tour landed at Morgan's on Fulton, 950 West Fulton, with much fanfare on the warm night of May 4, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

A beautiful outdoor rooftop was the perfect space for fans to enjoy what the brand had to offer. Guests could enter through the first floor with sweet, tangy or spicy choices labeled over the doors. They then took the elevator up to the penthouse for a spectacular view along the deck.

Lines snaked around the venue to try the tamarindus indica infused spirit at the bar.

Attendees did not go hungry for long as private chef Andy Suarez provided tacos onsite with several stuffing options ranging from steak to potato. Staff carried churro umbrellas that were quickly snatched up and a fruit stand served mango topped with spices.

Action stations had artists hand painting straw hats and a food truck facsimile handed out more drinks.

A DJ played tunes that had folks grooving to the beats and mingling amongst each other.

Reality show stars showed up in festive red fashion including Bravo Vanderpump Rules celebrity Scheana Shay, Love Is Blind Latina Mallory Zapata and Bachelor franchise beauty Mari Pepin.

This edible fruit added to Smirnoff turned out to be just the right ingredient to revolve a Cuatro de Mayo party around. Mexican inspiration and the striking sugar skull label made a red theme to play off of and it paid off with a celebratory vibe all night.
