Bros is an upcoming film with a screenplay by Nicholas Stoller (who also produces the project with Judd Apatow) and Billy Eichner. Eichner also stars in the film with an LGBTQ+ cast including Luke Macfarlane, Ts Madison and Monica Raymond.

The movie is already making history by being the first romantic comedy about two gay men released by a major studio with an entirely LGBTQ+ principal cast. The story centers around Eichner and Macfarlane dating each other through awkward situations.

Stoller directs the endeavor while bringing his comedic background to the table from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek and two Neighbors films. Many know Eichner from Funny or Die's Billy on the Street and American Horror Story.

Universal unveiled a Bros-mobile popup for two dates in the Chicago area. One at 3311 N. Halsted Street on August 26 from 6 p.m. to midnight and the other on August 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1600 North Lakeshore Drive.

These were perfect spots with Friday in the bustling gay bar area and Saturday in the North Avenue Beach bro playpen.

Curious folks who passed by could board the 44-seat mobile movie theater to see exclusive footage on an 18-foot screen. After the brief preview attendees could take home swag including champagne, chapstick, mints and cookies to remember the hilarious experience. The goodies go fast so run to see Billy on these Chicago streets before it's too late!

The tour continues to Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles.

The new Bros flick first hits the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, then Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival on Monday, Sept. 26 and at United States cinemas on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.
