Laffy Taffy took over Zanies Chicago Comedy Club at 1548 N Wells Street for National Tell a Joke Day on August 15, 2022. Patrons were encouraged to come up with a joke for a contest judged by rapper T-Pain.

The pairing of Taffy and T-Pain was ripe with humor and light-hearted good times.

Faheem Rashad Najm, also known as T-Pain, spoke to GoPride right before his appearance at the iconic venue. He confessed that he has been stealing the legendary candy from his kids for years and his favorite flavor is grape after tasting a rainbow of offereings. He described himself to the Nunn as a "fun guy," and went on to say, "It is a great company so why not collaborate? I am all about exuberant colors and they are the same!"

T-Pain said he visits Chicago often, "almost too much so maybe I should buy a house here! I was just here last week and also the week before that."

While his favorite tattoo currently is a Jackie Chan design on his hand, his favorite comedian of all time is Hannibal Buress. He spoke on his past LGBTQ+ advocacy and when asked about a previous gay assistant he joked, "I've got gay people all around me!" T-Pain said that "People are people and treating people fairly is not something anyone has to learn how to do. I support people and I think it is weird when other people don't."

He is working on a new album while developing upcoming artists in the future. Things look bright in 2022 for this Grammy Award winner.
