Pixar Animation Studios has created a legion of computerized cartoon films over the years. Pixar is a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios and was launched in 1995 with the highly successful Toy Story.

Pixar Putt brings several of the various stories to life in an 18-hole open-air mini golf experience at the Polk Bros Park just to the left of the Navy Pier area.

Some of the characters featured are from people's favorite films such as Finding Nemo, A Bug's Life, Coco and Inside Out. Up was a highlight on the course with the golf balls hoisted right up in the air by a crank.

Some of the obstacles were downright frustrating but all part of the fun in figuring out where to place your aim along the way.

There were plenty of photographic opportunities in the park and having the landscape of the Windy City included was just picture perfect.

Pixar Putt runs now through August 21, 2022, and is open seven days a week. An After Dark version for people over 18 years of age takes place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Private groups can be booked at PixarPutt.com/Chicago. Tickets are digital-only for a contactless experience so "reach for the sky" and order yours today!

Look for Disney and Pixar's Buzz Lightyear's origin story titled Lightyear at movie theaters everywhere on June 17, 2022.
