The Green City Market Chef BBQ is a real party in the park. It is held for one evening at the south end of Lincoln Park. More than 100 local restaurants serve up their best samples to guests. Over 30 beverages were offered for people to try from both local and regional outlets.

General admission tickets were offered at $125 with private cabanas offered. Early admission is the way to go as crowds can grow large with lines down the block for entry.

There were so many vendors to try that it was a bit overwhelming. It seemed best to try the places I had heard of or been to then work my way forward.

After recently attending a fun bruch at Ace Bounce I tried their noodles. Big Jones located by my homo home in Andersonville always has some spices to warm up my belly.

Cooper's Hawk has been getting a lot of hype recently and had a nice presentation.

The Clever Rabbit offered vegetarian sandwiches that were huge enough for a meal by itself. Duck Duck Goat didn't have the usual Stephanie Izard in attendance but still brought a delicious treat.

After a recent opening party for Margeaux Brasserie it was nice to see them hitting the ground running with samples in the park.

The map of the grounds came in hand as I circled around to all of the various spots. Desserts became the second round with build your own pies and Eli's Cheesecake.

Several distilleries and wineries gave plenty of liquids to wash things down.

Recycling stations were manned to encourage separation of trash and to promote the cause.

I felt a bit late to the game with such an excting and interactive event. Don't be the same and look to www.GreenCityMarket.org for tickets next year!
