AccorHotels is a French multinational hotel group that is in 94 countries. Several of their upscale brands are located in Chicago. To bring them attention there were several parties both public and private to highlight the properties.

The night began with cocktails at Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile. It was the perfect starving artist theme with art supplies that were edible. A live painting was done in the bar area.

Afterwards several of the rooms were shown and with new ugrades to this establishment things are right on track. From an bright orange and red color palette the decor will be transformed to a more modern and masculine type theme. This hotel is putting its money in the right places.

The Columbus Tap is part of the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park. This gastropub is full of tap barrells and leather seating. Atticus Garant is the executive sous chef there serving up smoked short ribs and lobster carbonara.

The vibe is casual and rustic while still feeling upscale that is unexpected for hotels these days.

For dessert not many countries do it as well as Switzerland. The Swissotel is located at 323 E Upper Wacker Drive. There are some spectacular views the higher you go. The service is top notch and is the growing standard in Europe at this time.
